Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid was inevitable, it was just a matter of time. The Los Blancos, have been trying to sign the Frenchman for many years. It all started when an 11-year-old Mbappe went for club trials with the U12. He did not stay since his parents felt he was better off growing up and developing in France.

The first real attempt from the Los Blancos to sign Mbappe was in 2017 when he was playing for Monaco. However, PSG swooped in and highjacked the deal. In 2022, Mbappe’s move to Madrid was imminent but he decided to extend his contract at PSG. This came as a huge blow to all Madrid fans.

We’ve had to endure seven years of speculation but the deal is finally done.

Real Madrid has been Mbappe’s dream team. He posted pictures of himself as a kid in a Madrid kit on social media to express his joy.

He said, “A dream come true. Very happy and proud to be part of my dream club,Real Madrid. It is impossible to explain how happy and excited I feel right now. I can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thank you for your incredible support. Go Madrid!”

The 2018 World Cup winner will join the Los Blancos, hoping to add the Champions League cup to his collection. The Champion League Cup has eluded him several times at PSG but from past events, he will probably rack up a few at Madrid.

On 6th July 2009, over 80,000 fans flooded the Santiago Bernabeu to witness the unveiling of Cristiano Ronaldo. This broke the record for the highest attendance for a new signing and still stands to this day.

Kylian Mbappe’s unveiling will likely match or surpass this number. While we do not have an exact date, his unveiling will likely take place after returning from the Euros. We can expect the Santiago Bernabeu to be fully packed making the unveiling the most spectacular soccer event of this decade.

Real Madrid’s Dominance Continues

Over the past years, Real Madrid has established itself as a European giant. They were recently crowned the champions of Europe after defeating Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final. This was their 15th title and their 6th in the last ten years.

With the addition of Kylian Mbappe to an already strong squad, we can expect Los Blanco’s dominance to continue. A front three consisting of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, and Rodrigo will tear through most defenses with ease. We do not need to talk much about Jude Bellingham.
