New York Yankees Starting Pitcher Spectacular Over Last 6 Starts

New York Yankees Carlos Rodon dazzled in Wednesday's start.

New York Yankees Starting Pitcher Carlos Rodon had another stellar start on Wednesday night. He tossed six innings and surrendered two earned runs while punching out nine as the New York Yankees. New York coasted to a 9-5 victory at home against the Minnesota Twins. Nine strikeouts set a new season-high for the veteran lefty.

Rodon is on a great run as he is 6-0 with a 2.48 ERA over his last six outings. Rodon’s run of success began on May 8 at home against the Houston Astros. He has lowered his ERA by nearly half a point over his last six starts. Rodon is 8-2 this season with an ERA of 3.08. His eight wins are third-most in the league.

Will Rodon be able to continue his stellar run of outings?

Carlos Rodon Season Summary

Rodon made his debut in 2015 as a member of the Chicago White Sox. He spent the first seven seasons of his career in Chicago before spending one season(2022) with the San Francisco Giants. He signed a six-year, $162 million with the New York Yankees during the 2022 MLB Offseason. The veteran pitcher had a miserable start to his tenure in “The Bronx.” He went 3-8 last season with an awful 6.85 ERA.

Rodon is a two-time MLB All-Star(2021, 2022) and finished fifth in CY Young voting in 2021. Robbie Ray won the award that season.

When Is The Next Time Rodon Takes The Mound?

The next scheduled start for Rodon is on June 10, on the road against the Kansas City Royals. Rodon faced the Royals in his final start of the 2023 season and got shelled. He failed to record an out as he surrendered eight earned runs.

The New York Yankees finish off their four-game series against the Minnesota Twins tonight. The Yankees then begin a marquee three-game weekend series with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday.
