Blasting News quoted former Pakistan former player Rashid Latif talking about the ever-adorable Indian batting star Virat Kohli and his many fans in Pakistan. Kohli, is universally accepted to be among the best batsmen among the current generation of cricketers. He has performed exceptionally well in both the test, one-day, and T20 formats of the game.

Latif was quoted by the news agency PTI, saying: “Virat has a lot of fans in Pakistan, and also the players playing are his fans. ”

As he also mentioned, whenever Sachin (Tendulkar) was batting earlier, I did not want him to get out. The world was watching him play, and people were paying to watch him bat, but I was enjoying it behind the stumps and for free.

Since his first match against India in the 2018 Asia Cup, Indian fans have started mocking Babar Azam like the South African fans made fun of the Indian cricket team for following the Duckworth-Levine method.

He also dissected Pakistan’s cricketer, Babar Azam, elaborating on some of the pressures that he goes through, particularly when playing critical matches, especially against India. Latif further opined that Babar needs to handle the pressure of an India-Pakistan clash. He mentioned that he still has some rawness in terms of game management inventiveness and needs to learn from players like Rohit Sharma and Kohli.

“The Indian cricket team should focus on a particular game, and that is on June 9 against Pakistan.” Babar will be under more pressure due to the game against India rather than playing in the World Cup. “ But he needs to learn how to handle pressure; he should learn this from Virat and Rohit because they know how to take a game forward.”

That, according to critics, certainly puts Babar among the best batters in the world, but there is still a long way to go for him to become a good captain and leader. India and Pakistan are set to face off on June 9 in New York in a Group A clash of the 2024 T20 World Cup, a match that promises high drama and intense competition.

Latif pointed out the critical role of left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav in India’s World Cup campaign, stressing his potential to trouble opposing batters if he remains fit.

“Kuldeep Yadav is that one player who, if remains fit for India throughout the World Cup, can cause trouble for batters. He is India’s key bowler and also a key to success. Given the current form and stats, definitely India has an advantage ahead of June 9,” Latif concluded.
