CBS Sports released their early portion of the television schedule for the 2024 season on Thursday afternoon. College football games in the 2024 campaign will be broadcast across a variety of platforms available to the CBS Television network between broadcast TV options and the Paramount+ streaming service.
This upcoming season will mark the inaugural season that CBS Sports will feature a Big Ten matchup in the 3:30 pm window. While additional networks will surely be releasing their television network schedules in the future, CBS Sports was the first network to reveal its upcoming slate of broadcasts for the 2024 college football season.

In the CBS Television Network press release, the entertainment company released some fascinating details ahead of the 2024 College Football season.
THE Ohio State Buckeyes will receive top-tier treatment after a blistering hot 11-0 start before a pair of defeats to top-10-ranked Michigan and Missouri in 2023. The Buckeyes will open their season, hosting Akron for that coveted 3:30 pm kickoff.
Following the interstate fight in Ohio, CBS will present a game from outside the continental United States with Hawai’i hosting UCLA. The contest represents the first home game since 2005 to appear on national television for Hawai’i.
Impressive Matchups Featured During Weeks 2-4

The always entertaining Cy-Hawk Game pitting Iowa and Iowa State against one another will receive the national treatment in the second week of the CBS broadcasting schedule. While the football game is the highest-scoring event, it is only one small piece of a season-long competition between the two universities called the Cy-Hawk Series.
CBS Sports presents another double feature in Week 3 with Notre Dame traveling to Purdue in the 3:30 pm ET feature spot, followed by the first The Rocky Mountain Showdown in 30 years! The Rocky Mountain Showdown will see Colorado State host Colorado for the first time since 1996 in Fort Collins.
Week 4 will feature the reigning, defending College Football National Champions of the Wooooooold…. Sorry got carried away there. The Michigan Wolverines welcome the USC Trojans to “The Big House” for their first time as a new Big Ten conference foe.
CBS Sports will be releasing additional weeks of the Big Ten featured games at a later date. The broadcast team assigned to the various games should also be revealed at another time.
Big Ten Championship Game Exclusive to CBS Sports

As a part of the agreement with the Big Ten conference, CBS Sports gains broadcasting rights to the 2024 Big Ten Championship Game. That contest is scheduled to take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN during the primetime television window at 8 pm ET on Saturday, December 7th. Last year’s Big Ten Championship saw Michigan blank Iowa, 26-0.
CBS Sports also announced they will be carrying all three Commander-in-Chief Trophy games throughout the season between the three service academies of Air Force, Army, and Navy.
The final game currently listed on the CBS Sports schedule is the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl on New Year’s Eve 2024. The annual bowl game will take place at 2 pm ET in El Paso, Texas. Notre Dame clobbered Oregon State by 30+ in the 90th edition of the game last season.
