The Atlanta Braves suffered a huge injury blow this past weekend. Reigning NL MVP Ronald Acuña tore his left ACL on the base paths Sunday afternoon. The Braves confirmed last night that Acuña will miss the remainder of the 2024 season. This is the 2nd time Acuña has had a season-ending ACL injury. He suffered a season-ending torn right ACL during the 2021 season.
The Atlanta Braves are going to have to rally together to make up for the loss of Acuña.
Ronald Acuña Out For Season, Again

This is not the first time the Atlanta Braves are going to be without their superstar, Ronald Acuña. The Braves were without Acuña for the end of the 2021 season when he tore his ACL that season. The Braves didn’t bat an eye and ended up winning the World Series over the Houston Astros in 6 games.
They have shown an ability in the past with their current core to overcome the loss of the 4-time all-star. I wouldn’t count out the 2024 Atlanta Braves just yet.
Atlanta Braves Need To Rally Around Injured Superstar

There is no doubt that Acuña’s injury is a devastating blow to a team with World Series aspirations like the Braves. However, the Braves are still loaded with talent.
Led by stars Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, and Marcell Ozuna, the Braves lineup is still lethal. This trio paired with guys like Austin Riley, Travis d’Arnaud, and Orlando Arcia in the bottom of the order, which still makes the Braves a dangerous team come playoff time.
Can 2024 Braves Create 2021 Magic?

The 2021 Atlanta Braves only won 88 regular season games, didn’t have their best player, and went on a miracle World Series run. With a lot of the same players and the same manager, who are we to say it can’t happen again?
The NL this season is being dominated by the Dodgers and Phillies, but in the playoffs, anything can happen. The Braves are currently sitting at 30-21, atop the NL Wild Card playoff picture.
The Braves have been a perennial playoff team for the last six seasons. They know all they have to do is get there, and then you can throw out any records or seed of a team. It’s anyone’s game.
The 2024 Atlanta Braves season is not over by any means.
