The third T20I match will also be played after four years between the two countries. England’s limited overs captain, Jos Buttler, has left the caravan to join his family in London. His wife, Louise, is in the final stage of her pregnancy.
This came after the England team recorded a 23-run win at Edgbaston on Saturday, occasioning the first of the fourth match series that is being played in the four countries. Bringing into the picture the match that was recently washed out in Leeds.
Buttler’s Absence from Training and Uncertainty
Buttler was conspicuous in his absence from the training session Monday afternoon in Cardiff, and it remains doubtful that he will be able to participate in Tuesday’s match. There is still doubt about his involvement in the last game of the series that will be played on Thursday night at The Oval.
However, initially, he will not be able to join the T20 World Cup campaign for the England team that is scheduled to begin next Tuesday in Barbados against the Scotland team.
Although this creates a short-term issue with the loss of Buttler’s services as a banking casualty, it means that he will be with England throughout the World Cup. Buttler had said he would stay for the birth of his child in any case, provided that it be a group-stage match.

Moeen Ali is ready to step in
Moeen Ali, the vice-captain of the team, will be taking on the responsibilities of captaincy in the absence of Buttler. Last week, Moeen dismissed the leadership change as nothing major and believed that he would be counting on him to do more.
“Well, obviously, if it does happen, then it is a great honor, as it is at any moment,” Moeen emphasized. ”I will be okay. Many things will probably remain very much the same; he does certain things, and when he comes back, he will do them again. ”
Moeen also discussed the cooperation between him and Buttler, where he explained that the change would be easy. Ideally, the baby will arrive at a time when he does not lose many matches to birth-related issues. To me, it’s like tomorrow is just like watching a movie, and whatever happens, happens.
As for me, I have to admit that it really is not very complicated to be straightforward with you because you and Jos are quite talkative. This is good; we talk about other things apart from football, the team, and all that. We’re on the same page anyway, I quipped back.

Betting on Matches and Chances for the Playing XI
Speaking of changes, it is important to note that without Buttler, there is bound to be some reshuffling in the batting order of England. Ben Duckett will most likely bat at No. 4, meaning Wicks and Robinson could drop a place each while Will Jacks and Jonny Bairstow will remain the openers. Compared to this, England may consider including another all-rounder comparable to Sam Curran.
As for Archer, after his return to the international squad, if England decides to be careful with his fitness status, then Mark Wood, with his awkward long bowl, who seemed to have his knee heavily strapped before the T20I on Saturday, might be slotted in the playing XI when they take the field in Cardiff.
However, the same predictions indicate that the match on Tuesday night could be threatened by weather elements.
