Baltimore Orioles Right Fielder Kyle Stowers had a Memorial Day to remember at home against the Boston Red Sox. He went 3-of-4 this afternoon with four RBI as the Orioles cruised to a dominating 11-3 victory over their divisional foe. Stowers had a two-run double in the bottom of the fourth, a ground-rule double in the bottom of the sixth, and a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh.

Stowers made his debut with the Baltimore Orioles in 2022. He has only played in 56 games over the last three seasons as he has been unable to find his footing at the big-league level. He is a career .211 hitter with three home runs and 12 RBI. Stowers made his debut this season on May 15 against the Toronto Blue Jays and has started periodically over the last few weeks.
Orioles Offense Comes Alive On Memorial Day
The Orioles are riding high as they are winners of five straight including taking all four games against the Chicago White Sox and the opening game of their three-game set against the Boston Red Sox. Baltimore’s offense did most of their scoring in two innings today. They scored nine of their 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth and the bottom of the seventh.
Three Baltimore Orioles players also had multiple RBI on Memorial Day. Catcher Adley Rutschman had two RBI, Center Fielder Cedric Mullins had two RBI and the aforementioned Stowers added four to the team total. The Baltimore offense also went off for 13 hits as all but two players in their lineup had a hit on Monday afternoon.

The Orioles are 34-18 this season and are in second place in the American League East. They are also firmly entrenched in the American League Wild Card race. Baltimore has been one of the best teams in Major League Baseball this season as they have the fourth-best record in the entire league. The offense of the Baltimore Orioles has been great thus far this season. They are seventh in runs scored, second in home runs, and second in Slugging Percentage.

The Baltimore Orioles have two more games at home against the Boston Red Sox before hosting the Tampa Bay Rays for a three-game set beginning on Friday. Baltimore has set themselves up with such a good start to the 2024 season to be a force to be reckoned with in the American League in both 2024 and for years to come.
