Explosive Star Ja Morant Filmed On Court 5 Months After Horrible Injury

Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant was out of most games in the regular season because of NBA sanctions and injury. Because of this and other piles of injuries of vital players, the Grizzlies finished 11th seed in the Western Conference with 27-55 and missed the playoffs

However, there could be a bright light at the end of the Grizzlies’ tunnel as they discover how they could bounce back in the NBA next season and contend for champions

When will Ja Morant Be Back For Next Season’s Games?

The two-time All-Star could be back for next season’s games as he was spotted practicing after suffering an underlying labral tear on his right shoulder.

According to Damichael Cole, the beat writer for the Memphis Grizzlies, the team believes that their point guard will be back in good health in the 2024-25 season

“Everything is going well, Ja is the only one when June rolls around, he’s going to be pretty close to full go on the court. Everything that everyone was dealing with towards the end of the season is in a good place right now.”

Ja Morant missed most of the 2023-24 NBA season as NBA executives sanctioned him for displaying a gun on social media, as they believed it was destructive for the league.

After losing more than $7 million due to the 25-game suspension, Ja returned to the Grizzlies on Dec. 19 in which he played nine games. Out of these games, the Grizzlies won six of them, then had to go for a season-ending surgery for his shoulder injury.

Memphis Grizzlies without Ja Morant

After Ja Morant went off the roster after suffering an injury, the Grizzlies went from 6-3 when he came back from his 25-game suspension to 7-20 without their All-Star point guard. Also, as injuries increased during the regular season including Ja Morant’s, the 11th seed team did not make the playoff play-in tournament.

The Memphis Grizzlies’ 2023-24 season’s defense was good as they finished 12th in the Western Conference with an average of 114.3 DRTG. However, their offense showed that they missed Ja Morant as they finished 30th in the Western Conference with an average of 107.2 ORTG with 105.8 points.

Despite these depressing stats, the Grizzlies are optimistic about bouncing back hard this 2024-25 season with Ja Morant and other elite players to conquer the West. Also, during the point guard’s absence, the Grizzlies found some gold mines in their roster, which they hope to add to their offseason season plan. These rising stars are Vince Williams Jr. and GG Jackson II, whom the Grizzlies gave the opportunity to shine. Finally, the Grizzlies have joined the hunt to get the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar Donovan Mitchell to be a co-star with Ja Morant.
