The NBA admitted to the errors that affected the game and confirmed that errors in refereeing affected the result of the game, Which disadvantaged the Pacers by eventually resulting in a 121-117 victory for the Knicks. Through this report, some calls are proven to be right, while some are not. This has left the unanswered question of how much refereeing contributes to the outcome of the game.

NBA made some very critical calls in the last 2 minutes during the last moments of the game between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers. Everyone thought the game was coming to an end with a victory for the Knicks, but it was a shock for them as a screen call was made against Indiana. a violation had made it easy for Knicks to lead, This was according to the information they acquired from NBA.

Frustrations were felt everywhere in the air to both the funs and the players, Turner said ‘You can’t leave the game to be decided by the referees. We have to take accountability as well.” Many were left with unanswered questions over the issue of officials and “referees” enforcing rules in crucial game moments.

This NBA report caused chaos, it addressed the Kicked ball by Nesmith, i could tell that the Pacers were heartbroken because it was this call that gave their opponents an extra opportunity to score and win against the. it was such a hopeless knick of time.

To make matters much worse, you will be startled to realize that this was a mistake that the NBA admitted to. This incident has really drawn so much attention to the nature of kicked balls. Now, debates and discussions are going around about possible changes to the rules to enhance fairness, especially for the Pacers. Nesmith said “ wasn’t a kicked ball, it was clearly seen.”

Surprisingly enough, the Indiana Pacers are hoping to move on and leave the game behind. They are focused on Game 2, which is nice indeed, considering they don’t want officiating to become a distraction. According to head coach Rick Carlisle, he did not want to talk about officiating, and he added that they were not expecting any calls.

On the other hand, Turner had a better game, although he was unable to match rebounding as he only had 2 boards. I feel like the Pacers are intelligent, and let me tell you why: Mitchell Robinson, a key player for the New York Knicks, has a stress injury. The Pacers aim to capitalise on their key player Myles Turner’s presence, taking advantage of the Knicks’ due to Robinson’s absence, trying to take advantage of the opponent’s weakness.
