The highly anticipated clash between the formidable Jake Paul and the legendary Mike Tyson is set to take place on July 20, 2024. This monumental event will see the professional boxer, Jake Paul, and the former heavyweight world champion, Mike Tyson, face off at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The match will be broadcasted on Netflix and other streaming services, ensuring that fans worldwide can witness this historic showdown, Mike Tyson VS Jake Paul.
Hall of Famer Mike Tyson Faces YouTube Sensation Jake Paul
This isn’t going to be an exhibition between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul; this is going to be an all-out fight. The Department of Licensing in Texas has approved the match with a few minor changes from a regular boxing match. The rounds will be shortened, and each boxer’s glove weight will slightly increase. This fight also will count toward each boxer’s record of wins and losses, making its effect permanent.
It will be a brawl that could end in a quick knock-out or a long drawn out battle. Either of these fighters could come out on top.
This Match Will Be Different From the Rest
In a regular boxing match, the boxer’s gloves weigh 10 ounces. Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will wear gloves that are 14 ounces for this match. You could guess that the increase in weight in the glove would mean more damage and power per punch. On the contrary, a heavier glove means less energy and speed for each blow. This isn’t an ideal decision, but one that has been considered, primarily due to Mike Tyson’s age when approved in the terms of the fight.
Tyson has more than just his age to consider for this fight. Mr. Tyson won fifty times, forty-four of them by knockout, before hanging up his gloves in 2005. He did have an exhibition fight with Roy Hones Jr four years ago. The fight against Roy was an exhibition, unlike the fight he would have with Paul.
Veteran Poise vs. Young Strength
Mike Tyson throws his punches in boxing like Beethoven composes. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone who has not heard his name. He held the heavyweight champion title for three years in the late 1980s. Meanwhile, Jake Paul is one of the rising stars of the boxing world. He is making a name for himself. Social media has spread his ability, showing what he can do with his hands in and out of the ring.
Paul has come a long way, honing his style and skill and learning who he is as a boxer. Like any athlete, it takes time to learn how they fit in their sport. Sometimes, the most minor changes make the most significant difference. He has shown this in his ten matches, winning 9 of them and 6 of them by knockout.
Mike Tyson VS Jake Paul will be a clash between experience and young blood. With everything that Mike Tyson has learned, done, and accomplished how will he do against a rising star, Paul, who has been able to handle anything put in front of him in a ring? Who do you think will come out on top?
