The German midfield maestro Marco Reus has decided to part ways with his childhood club Borussia Dortmund after 12 long years as a free agent at the end of the summer. The sorrowing part of the news is he will be leaving the club without winning the Champions League or Bundesliga while the trophy was lifted by Bayern many times.
Marco came from Borussia Monchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund from 2012. Before that, he was part of Dortmund’s youth squad where he was on the verge of learning. Marco was also a part of the German international squad in the 2014 World Cup where Germany won but yet he was somehow pulled off due to an injury.
The 34-year-old Marco Reus could be planning to retire or join a small league club like MLS. As a free agent, he has a lot of choices to join other small clubs as well. Although, Marco had a strong will to stay at Dortmund even though many great players and coaches stayed at the club and departed.
