Kylian Mbappe, the French superstar winger, has his sights set on winning against Barcelona FC. The intense rivalry between PSG, a team with a gigantic following in France, vs. Barcelona FC, the Spanish conquistadores, is a huge deal. This will be his last dance before the move to Spain and Real Madrid.
It is arguably one of the biggest games in football across the world. Mbappe, the last big-name player on PSG’s squad, is set to win the Champions League against Barcelona at whatever cost. Not only will this be his last big game, and huge trophy, for PSG before his move to Real Madrid, but he wants to leave Paris in style with a wining legacy.

Despite PSG being one of the best teams in France, especially with a gifted winger like Mbappe, a draw against Clermont Foot isn’t what they had on mind. PSG played Clermont Foot on Saturday and earned only a late draw against a struggling side.
Even with this poor result, Mbappe is still confident that they can win against Barcelona.
‘I’m not going to hide.’
It’s true – if Mbappe doesn’t stand out in a game, it means his team plays poorly. Mbappe is the energy and life of the PSG team, scoring goals, making runs, and crossing the ball into the box. If he has a game where he is a bit quiet, it is no wonder PSG won’t perform very well.
PSG faces off against Barcelona in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal game. Key players to watch out for include Mbappe and Dembele for PSG. On the other side, Christensen and Lewandowski are key players for Barca.
Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid
Kylian’s game with PSG vs. Barcelona FC to claim the trophy will be one of his last. Similar in stature and importance to legends of the game like Messi and Ronaldo, Mbappe going to Spain is a huge move for his career.
He has thought about joining the Spanish league winners for some time now. Real Madrid offered him a hefty sum in 2021, more than he asked for, but were turned down at the end of the transfer window.
Real Madrid finally convinced him at the end of 2022 that it was his time to leave PSG. Mbappe announced in October 2022 that he wouldn’t sign a contract extension with his long-time team, PSG. Although fans were angry and disappointed, it couldn’t come as a surprise.
News in the soccer world is that he has completed an insane transfer fee sum of over $162 million signing bonus to go to Real Madrid next year.
