Kylian Mbappe has a tumultuous history at PSG. Despite being one of the best young footballers in the world – and one of the best regardless of age – Mbappe still has come under criticism a couple of times in recent years. PSG fans are hard to please, as we saw with the ‘booing’ and intensity directed at Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi while they shared the pitch.
Not only are these three legendary players, but they consistently put on great performances, scored goals, and tallied assists. What more could PSG fans want from the talented and speedy Mbappe?

This isn’t the first time that Mbappe has been in the crosshairs of PSG fans. The die-hard supporters booed Kylian Mbappe during a match in February due to concerns over his future contract. There were rumors that Mbappe would make a move to Real Madrid during the transfer window, which tainted fans’ views of the superstar.
Not only is Kylian Mbappe the club’s all-time scorer, but he has gotten the team out of precarious positions in the past. Even with him seriously paying his dues, the PSG fans seemed to feel that the potential move to Real Madrid outweighed the positives of the many years of service to French football.

Luis Enrique Subs Off Kylian Mbappe
Luis Enrique, the PSG manager, didn’t help matters at all in a recent match. Mbappe, arguably PSG’s best player, was subbed early in the game for Ramos. Enrique has started to sub out Mbappe during crucial periods of the game, oftentimes before the 65th minute, in favor of lesser-quality players.
But why?
‘We have to get used to not playing with Kylian, sooner or later it will happen.’
Well, if Mbappe is making a move to Real Madrid, Enrique has to start thinking about giving his other players more time on the field. With his transfer looming on the horizon, his PSG contract is slowly coming to an end.
And if Mbappe is not leaving, this is a terrible way for Enrique to convince Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG for the betterment of his footballing career.
Although Kylian Mbappe has already accomplished so much in his career, he is still a young footballer. It seems like PSG might be squandering their chance at keeping a club legend for his entire career.
