Speaking to Big Time Podcast about his favourite sports, Messi said, “Basketball, Tennis, Padel, and American Football.” He added that he is learning a lot about American Football and getting to know it even better.
The Messi Influence in Inter Miami
Messi’s presence in the United States has already drawn many stars and celebrities from Tennis and American football to the MLS side. Some of the tennis stars who have been gifted Messi’s shirts include Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa. They got the gifts after visiting the club.
When Messi arrived with Inter Miami last season, Players Joe Burrow and Ja Marr Chase were spotted. His arrival in the US has promoted more than one Million people to tune in to watch Miami games. Surprisingly, those are numbers only the NFL and college football can compete with.

What’s Next for Lionel Messi
Messi is currently nursing injuries and missed Argentina’s fixtures with Costa and El Salvador over the international breaks. But that is not likely to limit him for a long time, as he is expected to return from the Inter Miami championship clash against Monetary on April 3.
The Argentinian star finished half of his first season in Miami with 11 goals out of 14 games. Much is expected of him this season, with Miami the favorites to win the MLS Cup. Luckily, the team includes two of Messi’s former teammates, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suarez.
He started the season well, scoring five goals in the first five outings. This helped Miami win three of their first five MLS games. They drew one game and lost the other.
