He starts talking about his daughter and says that Cody did not need to refer to his daughter last week because the Crown Jewel match is not a family affair; it is a warrior taking on another warrior. After that, Gunther mocks Cody’s legacy and tells him to stop copying others. He also points out that Cody is backing up John Cena so that people can call him one of the best wrestlers of all time, but that’s not how things work.

Gunther thinks Cody is being overly dramatic about everything. This is why Gunther says he is the best wrestler in the company, and he just wanted to do this to prove something to himself. Gunther wants to know the reason behind this upcoming match and the things that inspired him to compete against Heavyweight Gunther.
Cody calls this question one of the dumbest questions he has ever asked. Rhodes explains that he is doing this because the WWE world is interested in seeing it. He explains the responsibility of a Champion and accuses Gunther of not doing that properly. A new rivalry is being created, which is obvious when Randy Orton runs into the ring, leading Gunther to run away from the ring.
The match between Motor City Machine Guns and DIY was also thrilling. It started with Gargano and Shelley beating each other up badly. Both teams were good at the beginning, but as the match proceeded, MCMG dominated slightly. At this point, Ciampa became aggressive, and that took the match into a high-paced competition between both teams. But at last, Ciampa got distracted and received a superkick. Shelley and Sabin went for the pin, and they won the match.
Final Thoughts
Gunther, also known as the ring General, already has a heavy rivalry with Randy Orton. They fought in ‘Bash in Berlin,’ and Gunther won that match, retaining his title. After that, their rivalry increases a lot, and Randy Orton finds ways to take his revenge on Gunther.
Cody Rhodes is now perfect for Randy Orton as a partner to defeat Gunther and his friend Ludwig Kaiser.
