The New Jersey Devils defeated the Nashville Predators by a solid score of 4-2 on Tuesday night. The most important name in the win was Nico Hischier. Hischier scored two goals to lead his team to victory. The win extended the Devils’ winning streak.
Hischier’s play was aided by Timo Meyer and Jack Hughes, who helped set up the goals. Goalkeeper Nico Dawes also played well. He made 30 saves.
Head coach Lindy Ruff said she was pleased with the team’s performance and said:
“I think we got what we deserved. We played well, created chances, and got the two points we needed.”

On the other hand, under coach Andrew Brunette, the Nashville Predators suffered their fourth loss in five games. Despite an outstanding 42 saves by goalie Juse Saros, the Predators couldn’t match the Devils’ momentum.
Reflecting on the game, the blonde admitted, “They were more disappointed than we were. They played the night before and had a lot of energy. There was a lot of extreme disappointment tonight.”
The pivotal moment of the game came in the third period when Timo Meyer slammed home the winner with 5:15 left. Meyer emphasized the team’s grit and determination:
“We knew we had to persevere and win some battles in front of the net. Go there, and you will continue just like us.”
Devils forward Curtis Lazarus was instrumental in preserving the lead, deflecting Cody Glass‘ attempt into an open net with 1:34 left.
Ryan O’Reilly scored the opening goal for the Predators on a power play in the first period, showcasing the intensity of the game. Jack Hughes responded quickly for the Devils in the second period to level the scores. Tommy Novak’s wrist shot gave Nashville the lead again, but a Nico Hischier goal in the third period gave the Devils the win.

The New Jersey Devils host the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. The Nashville Predators will try to forget this setback when they host the Dallas Stars on the same day.
