It now appears that the New York Giants are releasing WR Allen Robinson in a surprise move. According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Giants are cutting the veteran wide receiver as part of a roster shake-up. Robinson was never really consistent in his career after standing out at Penn State. His release begs to question about what the future may hold for him. at any rate. A Stellar College Career
Allen Robinson started his college football career at Penn State, where he did not take long to make a lasting impression. Playing from 2011 to 2013, Robinson was a beast on the field, reeling in 177 receptions for 2,474 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was twice a Big Ten Receiver of the Year and twice a first-team All-Big Ten honoree. As a junior, he earned first-team All-American status, just the third Penn State wide receiver to do so. These accolades set the stage for a promising NFL career.
Robinson made his way into the NFL in 2014 after being picked in the second round by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had a decent rookie year, and then the following year, he started to become somewhat of a big name. He had appeared in his first Pro Bowl with this new stardom. That was pretty short-lived, as he would be moving on to other things very shortly.

Robinson signed up with the Chicago Bears for four years starting in 2018, and since then, it has been a smooth road to success. He played four years with the Bears and found great success. He became one of the very few Chicago Bears players who had recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving In 2019 and 2020. His consistent performance only led to the fact that he was an elite and talented receiver. His stint with the Chicago Bears was one of the highlights of his NFL career, which saw him playing well.
Robinson’s journey then took him to the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. His time in LA was a mixed bag for the receiver, having to adjust to a new team and system mostly. Despite struggles, Robinson was able to contribute to the Rams’ offense in his lone year with the team.
