Los Angeles Chargers Escape From Stuck Elevator in Dallas Hotel

Los Angeles Chargers Escape From Stuck Elevator in Dallas Hotel

On Friday night in Dallas, a hotel elevator became stuck and several players from the Los Angeles Chargers, including quarterback Justin Herbert, and other travelers had to crawl through a ceiling panel to get out. The Chargers announced on social media that at approximately 7:30 p.m. local time, Dallas Fire-Rescue helped passengers ‘one by one’ by passing through the ceiling panel to a neighboring elevator.

Along with Jeri Fouts, the wife of Los Angeles Chargers TV pundit and Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Fouts was there as well. Herbert was reportedly one of ’11 or 12 of our players’ in the elevator, according to Harbaugh. All of the folks who were stuck were helped by Dallas Fire-Rescue, who lifted them via ceiling panels and into a nearby elevator. An attempt was made by a technician to start the elevator before it was saved.

Los Angeles Chargers Rescued On Time

The Los Angeles Chargers expressed their gratitude to the Dallas Fire Department for their prompt action, professionalism, and significant efforts to ensure everyone’s safety. Videos of many fire trucks with their lights still flashing were seen parked outside One Main Place in Dallas, a 33-story tower housing the Westin Hotel among other amenities, and were shared on social media platform X, now known as Twitter, by a local reporter.

Before the fire department sent out its Urban Search and Rescue team, an elevator technician made an initial attempt to fix the elevator, Dallas Fire-Rescue said CNN affiliate WFAA. In all, 15 individuals were trapped in the elevator in a “blind shaft” that led from the hotel’s third to fifteenth floors, according to the WFAA. For their final preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, the Los Angeles Chargers have traveled to Dallas.

The Chargers have now dropped both of their preseason games; they lost 16-3 against the Seattle Seahawks and 13-9 to the Los Angeles Rams. The Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys will play their last preseason game on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. On September 8, Los Angeles will host the Las Vegas Raiders to kick off the regular season.

After the game, Jim Harbaugh, the coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, welcomed every employee of Dallas Fire-Rescue to the team eating room, according to a source who spoke with ESPN’s Kris Rhim. After two losses, the Chargers will take on the Cowboys on Saturday at 1 p.m. Pacific Time in an attempt to win their first preseason game.

Fifteen individuals were reported to be stuck in the elevator by Dallas’ WFAA. The team members were reportedly trapped in a “blind shaft” between the third and fifteenth floors of The Westin Hotel in downtown Dallas, according to the article, which cited Dallas Fire-Rescue. According to the Chargers, DFR helped each of the fifteen individuals individually as they made their way through a ceiling panel and into a nearby elevator.

“Getting through the hole with the strength of your upper body. Getting away to the second floor. Fantastic for the game we adore. Jim Harbaugh’s invitation to the Dallas rescue crew to the team meal also seems to have brought us some good fortune. My movie brain is rotted out, so being forced to escape through the hatch would be even worse than being confined on an elevator. The only memory I would have of it would be the scene in Mission Impossible where Emilio Estevez consumed it,” Los Angeles Chargers stated.
