Sean O’Malley Wants an Apology from Conor McGregor

Sean O'Malley wants an Appology from Conor McGregor

Bantamweight Champion Sean O’Malley believes that things are getting worse between him and Conor McGregor. This is because his role model, McGregor, is now a verbal opponent. However, his latest remarks have proven to cause friction in their relations. During his latest interview, O’Malley revealed what McGregor needs to do for things to change. He had a conversation with Helen Yee on her YouTube channel, and she asked him whether he was still angry at the Irish fighter and whether McGregor could make amends.

The 29-year-old said things, were not clear to him and he thinks McGregor might be trying to stay relevant through the media by talking about the frosty relationship between them. He also said he has forgiven McGregor and if he wants to be friends again, he has to make an apology. Well, as much as we want to cross our fingers, it is highly unlikely that O’Malley would ever get an apology out of McGregor.

McGregor does not appear to mind taking insults from people who he insults with his words. He mocked Sean while also mocking boxer Ryan Garcia for using Ostarine, a banned substance before his fight against Devin Haney. O’Malley, who has passed the test after McGregor kept on insulting the Bantamweight Champion, but O’Malley said a few things about Conor including that he could beat him in a fight.

Sean O’Malley and McGregor in Octagon

This to-and-fro is not that thrilling because McGregor and O’Malley are highly unlikely to step into the ring against each other. O’Malley I am sure would love the fight—it would be a great chance for him. But at the moment he has much more important things to achieve.

During a recent interview, O’Malley has been asked several questions regarding his goals in combat sports. He said McGregor is one of the biggest stars of the UFC, but he desires to be the best fighter, adding that his goal is to knock out every fighter the UFC will pit against him.

Final Thoughts

O’Malley looked up to Conor when he was coming up but now things have changed. It’s because Conor has been out of the Octagon for three consecutive years and his top challenger Michael Chandler is still waiting for him.
