Some weeks back there were rumors that the Lucha Brothers are set to join WWE. Some believe they have already let AEW higher-ups know they’ll be gone upon their contracts expiring. People are also saying that WWE made an offer to the Lucha Brothers, and some are claiming they might Royale screw over their way out of AEW. With all of these rumors and all this speculation, Hardy talked about the former AEW Tag Team Champions on his podcast, ‘Extreme Life of Matt Hardy.’

The tag team legends explained that the Young Bucks are their biggest rivals now. Hardy talked about the rising talents of both wrestlers and said, “They are one of the OG [teams], they’re a couple of the founding talents and staples of the tag team division. I know we talked about this, they’re probably the Young Bucks’s greatest opponents too which is a big deal if those guys do end up stepping away.”

Hardy suggested to the team, that if they travel through Mexico and South America, they are going to be famous. “Especially with how much they are playing towards the Hispanic market in this day and age and especially, you know, going on tours in Mexico and South America. They would be huge; they would be huge.”

On his podcast, Hardy revealed that he and his brother Jeff met WWE representatives during the SummerSlam weekend. They were shooting some material for WWE to be used in the coming months, but it is not clear what the material is going to be used for. Ever since Matt and Jeff Hardy departed AEW, there has been speculation that they may return to WWE. Although they are currently wrestling for TNA, they are not signed to the TNA and have made it clear that they may leave if they get a better offer.

Final Thoughts

The Lucha Brothers have a bright future if they are accepted into WWE. And obviously, they have performed outstandingly in AEW, which is a good stepping stone to WWE. Matt and Jeff Hardy are now out of AEW and WWE which are the big organizations of wrestling, but they are in negotiations with WWE. What are your thoughts about the rising champions, Lucha Brothers?
