Arsenal Rumor: 26-Year-Old Winger is now Arsenal’s Target

Arsenal chasing Viktor

According to sources, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has a strong interest in Girona winger Viktor Tsygankov and is keen on securing his services for the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming summer transfer window. Following a remarkable season with his La Liga team, numerous clubs across Europe have expressed interest in the Ukrainian player. Arsenal missed out on winning the Premier League title by two points and thus look to strengthen their squad.

Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1, giving Pep Guardiola’s team their fourth straight Premier League win.

Arsenal are taking steps towards becoming a regular contender for the title under Arteta. There is a growing belief that a couple of new signings this summer could pave the way for Premier League glory next year. There have been rumors about their plans to sign a left-back, midfielder, and attacker during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Their aim is to maintain their competitiveness on all fronts in the next season. Reports from Spain suggest that Girona’s Tsygankov is being targeted by Arsenal. Tsygankov has been performing impressively, with eight goals and seven assists in 30 matches for Girona this season, making him a player to watch ahead of Euro 2024.

According to Spanish publication AS, Arsenal has expressed interest in signing Girona’s Viktor Tsygankov during the summer transfer window. The winger is reportedly enticed by the opportunity to play in the prestigious Champions League. Throughout his tenure, Mikel Arteta has consistently relied on the exceptional talents of Bukayo Saka.

He has frequently pushed the young Englishman to his limits even when he’s been nursing injuries. With the competitive schedules of both the Premier League and the Champions League, it would be great to have a top-level backup on the right wing.

For the second time, Arsenal missed out on beating Manchester City to win the Premier League title. The club will want to add more players to their attacking choices to ensure they don’t lose again.

In January 2023, the 26-year-old player joined Girona from Dynamo Kyiv. Tyshankov scored eight goals and set up seven others in his first full season with the club, which helped them get their best-ever finish in Laliga. The winger’s only goal currently is to help Ukraine qualify for Euro 2024. He has a €30 million (£25.5m) release clause in his current contract, so he could come back from Germany with a big choice to make since Arsenal has reportedly made an offer.

Reports say that Arteta, one of the best football managers in the world, is “in love” with the winger and thinks that he would be the “perfect” addition to his forward line in north London. Being called a “magician,” Tsyhankov could meet up with his fellow countryman Oleksandr Zinchenko at the club. Many of Europe’s biggest teams, including AC Milan, are interested in Tsyhankov after a great season for Girona. Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal’s biggest rival, are also thought to be interested, and the race to sign him could become very competitive.
