22 Year Old Arsenal Superstar Not In Squad To Face Man United

Arsenal Defender, Jurrien Timber

Despite making the journey up to Old Trafford, Jurrien Timber is noticeably absent from the Arsenal squad for their Premier League match against Manchester United. Mikel Arteta has decided to stick with the same starting lineup that secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Bournemouth in their previous match. Despite missing the first part of training earlier this week, Takehiro Tomiyasu is ready to start at left-back.

Rumors were circulating that Timber might join the squad in case Tomiyasu was unable to play. It’s highly doubtful that the Dutch international would have been chosen over Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior to start the game.

Jurrien Timber has fully taken part in training sessions with his team. This means he may be ready to play again soon after his return to the game. Today’s highly anticipated match between Arsenal and Manchester United is getting ready to start, and early team news says that Jurrien Timber has joined the group. Stories on social media say that there are signs that Timber is with the team in Manchester right now.

Some speculate that he might have a chance to make it into the final 20 for the next game. After missing nine months because of ACL surgery, Timber was likely to be one of the substitutes at Old Trafford. Arteta, however, has chosen to stick with the team that helped Arsenal win their last three games.

The 22-year-old Dutch international participated in intense training sessions this week. Although, he already playing in a few matches for the Arsenal u21s. Whether Arteta includes him in the final matchday squad remains to be seen.

How Arsenal Has Lined-Up

Arsenal has encountered a few injury concerns recently. Takehiro Tomiyasu was unable to participate in a training session and instead focused on individual work indoors. Additionally, Bukayo Saka was seen wearing strapping during training after receiving a kick in the previous match against Bournemouth. In his pre-Manchester United press conference on Friday, Mikel Arteta acknowledged that Tomiyasu and Saka were among the players whose availability for the Man United match was uncertain.

“We have a few doubts that tomorrow (Saturday) can resolve because we have another training session so we will have to wait and see,” Arteta said. There are doubts over the names that you discussed (Tomiyasu and Saka).”

However, with the latest Arsenal team news, Bukayo Saka is fit to start. Saka will want to keep up his great record against United. Only Thierry Henry has scored or set up more goals or assists against United in the Premier League. Jorginho, on the other hand, is only on the bench, even though he signed a new deal last week. So Thomas Partey will still play for Arsenal in the first eleven.

On the other hand, Manchester United is missing several important stars. Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Lisandro Martinez are all unavailable to play. This means Casemiro and Jonny Evans will play together again at center back for Manchester United.
