Bron Breakker has been everything he was advertised to be since signing with WWE in 2021. He is the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott, and it certainly shows. He wrestles a similar style as his elders.
Breakker (real name: Bronson Rechsteiner) has risen quickly through the ranks of NXT to finally land on the WWE main roster. The 26-year-old grappler has certainly been holding his own, despite recently losing an Intercontinental Championship title match to Sami Zayn.. While he may be wrestling as a heel right now, the fans react to him as if he is the ‘good guy’. His intensity and power are just so impressive that you have to watch and want to cheer.
From his spine-tingling suplexes to his bone-shattering spear, Bron Breakker brings a vast offensive arsenal. And although the former two-time NXT Champion may not even win a title before the year is over, it doesn’t matter. He’s just warming up for what comes next. The promotion sees his potential and they will be preparing him for bigger things in 2025 – a year that promises to be the most challenging of his young career thus far.

If Bron Breakker looks like he was born to be in the ring, it’s because he was. Although he would play football at Kennesaw State for four years, he didn’t catch on with an NFL squad. So, he decided to join the family business… in the squared circle. Then, he took to sports entertainment like a fish in water, and he never looked back on his climb towards success.
Both his dad, Rick, and Uncle Scott competed in amateur wrestling at the University of Michigan. Both were also standouts on the ma, and you can see in Bron Breakker’s ring style that he incorporates moves from both. In a recent interview with The Ringer, he discussed what it was like to break into the industry when your father and uncle are WWE Hall of Famers. He talked about having to follow in their footsteps.
“There was always a very high expectation that I had to live up to and perform to. It’s been that way my whole life,” Bron said to the online outlet. “It’s just a standard that they set way back in the day. My dad and uncle are both (wrestling) All-Americans at Michigan, and they set the bar high for me and my brothers.”
“I can’t be thankful enough for them paving the way for me so that I can live out my dream and continue the family’s legacy,”
Bron Breakker could be a World Champion by 2025

As mentioned previously, Bron Breakker came up a little bit short in his IC title match against Sami Zayn at this month’s Money in the Bank event. However, it’s believed he will hold some form of secondary championship like the Intercontinental or US Championships. Or, possibly a share of the tag team titles as he gains experience and pads his resume throughout the rest of this calendar year.
Whatever happens over the next five months is merely a stepping stone, as it’s possible we could see Breakker come full circle in 2025, and eventually main event a WrestleMania the next year. It only seems like the natural order of things. Pro wrestling is in his blood; it’s in his DNA.
If 2025 is the year that his career takes off like a rocket ship, don’t be surprised. The kid spent an extra amount of time in NXT when most fans felt like he was ready a year or so ago. He’s paid his dues, and over the next year and a half, WWE won’t just be developing a wrestler… They will be developing a future franchise player.
