2025 NFL Draft Breakdown: Georgia Offensive Players

Georgia Bulldogs QB Carson Beck draft
If you want to see a game with 2025 NFL draft prospects, the #2 Georgia Bulldogs visiting the #4 Alabama Crimson Tide is the game for you. Twelve of the top 100 players on the Consensus Draft Big Board are in this game, and an incredible 21 of the top 150. These two teams have played epic games, including the 2018 and 2022 National Championships.
NFL draft evaluators want to see how prospects play against the best competition. This makes these games especially important to individual players. Since they are meeting in the regular season, we may see these teams play up to three times this season. They could meet in the SEC championship game and possibly the playoff. Sign me up for that.

First Quarterback Drafted?

Carson Beck is one of the top quarterback prospects for the NFL Draft. He looks comfortable in the pocket and has a quick release. Beck is extremely accurate, especially when he has time in the pocket. He has a strong arm and can make all the throws at the next level.
While he doesn’t panic under pressure, Beck struggled a bit versus Kentucky. They consistently put pressure on him, and Beck suffered in accuracy. He reminds me somewhat of Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff. Like Beck, he will make you pay if he has a clean pocket. But if you pressure him, it could lead to incompletions or even turnovers. Beck is currently #4 on the consensus board and the top quarterback.

Transfer Running Back

Trevor Etienne is a 5-foot-9, 205-pound Flordia transfer. If the last name seems familiar, he is the younger brother of former 1st round draft pick and current Jacksonville Jaguar Travis Etienne. Despite his size, Etienne runs well between the tackles. He is off to an excellent start this season, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.
Where Etienne excels is his vision and quickness. Most NFL teams run some zone-blocking scheme. Etienne fits that scheme and can hit the cutback lane. He is also dangerous in the open field and can make defenders miss with his feet. Etienne hasn’t been used in the passing game much in his career. If he can effectively catch the ball out of the backfield, it will help his draft stock.

Final Thoughts

There are too many excellent prospects in this game to mention them all. As always, Georgia has a ton of good playmakers on defense. I wrote about two of them here. The game may come down to which quarterback has a better game. Alabama’s Jalen Milroe is currently #44 on the consensus draft big board and the 5th highest QB. Georgia visits Alabama this Saturday at 7:30 Eastern on ABC.
