In contrast, the Boston Celtics’ shooting percentage dropped to 29% from the field, and their three-point percentage dropped to 26%.

Lively had been absent in recent games on the offensive end, but he was productive in this game. He finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and seven offensive rebounds. This was significant, considering the Mavericks had 13 second-chance points compared to the Celtics’ zero.

Jayson Tatum did not score in the third quarter, and Jaylen Brown scored six points. Both ended the game with fewer than 15 points, which is well below average for the duo.

The Dallas Mavericks ended the third quarter shooting 50% from the field and 30% from three-point range. In contrast, the Boston Celtics shot 37% from the field and 33% from three-point range. The quarter ended with the Mavericks leading 92 to 60.
