This was now the Midwestern college football conference. There were other teams in the nation. The teams are listed in order of their record in 1892.

The 1892 OSU football team played eight games. They lost their first game at Oberlin 40-4. Then the Buckeyes reeled off three consecutive wins. They won at Buchtel to Otterbein 44-0. They hosted Marietta, a non-conference game, and beat them soundly, 80-0. Finally, they beat Dennison in a road game 32-0. Then the Buckeyes lost hosting Oberlin, who was very good, 32-0. Then they won, beating the Dayton YMCA 42-6. They lost their next game to Case Western Reserve 40-18. The Buckeyes won their final game of the season by defeating Kenyon 26-10.
